Bio

Arrived at LA Southwest College for the 2023 season.  Raising the team’s record from 0-10 to 6-4 and being named 2023 Metro Conference Coach of the Year.  The following year coached LA Southwest College to the Western States Bowl game which was the first bowl game appearance in 25 years. 2024 Team Grade Point Average 3.42

Previously spent 15 years as the head coach at West Los Angeles College from 2008-2022, more than 200 players have transferred to four-year universities. Over 100 of the former players have received their bachelor’s degrees from four-year universities. Dating back to 2008 the football team has maintained an overall team grade point average of 2.6 during each football season culminating with a team grade point average of 3. 01.. In addition, during such time fifteen players have been added to the All-Academic State Team. On the field, the past seven seasons the offense has averaged 33.6 points per game (43.1 in 2014) including a state record for points in a game: 83!

2003-2004- Mt. San Antonio College (Offensive Coordinator)

2005- East Los Angeles College (Offensive Coordinator)

2006-2007- Pasadena City College (Offensive Coordinator)

2008-2022- (Head Coach) During such time numerous All-Americans, All-State, All-Conference, players to accompany hundreds of four-year college football players (many who have earned their college degree).

2023-present- (Head Coach) First winning record in several season, bowl eligible, a 2.65 team grade point average and Coach of the Year.

Coach Miller has won a National Title, State Title, Conference Titles, and Bowl Championships. In addition, he has coached several players that have either won, appeared in as a player or coach in a Super Bowl. Michael Pittman Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Antonio Pierce New York Giants, David Reed Baltimore Ravens, Rocky Seto Assistant Coach Seattle Seahawks and Delaine Walker San Francisco 49 ers

Nationally, his players have broken national records; David Pittman most completions in a season (303) and David Reed most receptions (111) and most receiving yards (1,661) in a season. In addition, Pittman led the nation in passing with 3,662 yards. On the state level, his offense and players have broken four state records: points in a game (83), completions (Pittman 303), receptions (Reed 111), and receiving yards (Reed 1,661). On three separate occasions his quarterbacks have led the state in passing yards per game (Pittman 366.2, Dallas Lopez 340.1 and Jorge Reyna 364.6). In 2016, West LA QB Jorge Reyna led the nation in six passing categories: completions (316), throwing percentage 70.3%, passing yards (3,6,46), passing yards per game (364.6), touchdown passes (39), total touchdowns (46). Coach Miller has coached four different college offenses to lead the conference in both total offense and points in the same season (West LA, Mt. Sac, East LA, and Pasadena City). His Pasadena City College offense holds the Mission Conference record for total offense in a season. There have been 15 top 20 finishes in total offense for the state of California. Including, three different offenses that have averaged over 500 yards per game. In addition, two of his QBs have led the nation in passing, two WRs have led the nation in receptions, one RB to lead the nation in rushing and one offense to lead the nation in total offense.  Known for his unique offensive style Coach Miller has sold books, videos, DVDs and been a guest speaker at several coaching clinics.
